I remember at the beginning of our relationship, you used to say I looked at you with soft eyes. And it’s true. I still look at you that way. But besides that, I find myself looking at the rest of the world that way—.with softness.

Despite our struggles, loving you has introduced ease into the way I exist in this world. I feel like you’re holding my hand, in a sense, whether we are together or apart. I move with a bit more confidence. For all the passion and joy you inspire within me, you also bring to me a deep sense of comfort….and peacefulness.

You have given me a better life, one in which I find more joy and satisfaction. It makes me get a bit teary eyed to think about how grateful I am that you love me, that I get to love you, and wrap my legs around you.
